Finally the OEM Screen Assembly Removal Fixture for iPhone 5/5s has arrived to eTech Parts! Though little is known about this device as it is fairly new to the industry, we do know it goes by many names around here at the office…

  • The Screen Puller
  • The iPhone 5 Screen Removal…thing
  • The Great Divider
  • The iPhone 5 LCD Remover

Okay, we’ll go with that one. The iPhone 5 LCD Remover! It’s simple to use and can be used for both the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. Now you can easily remove the LCD assembly without doing any damage to the phone. Just unscrew the two Pentalobe screws at the bottom, put it in the LCD Remover, fasten it in, and suction the screen right off. No spudgers, no suction cups, no problems!

This tool may be the best way to repair an iPhone 5s to avoid damaging the Touch ID Sensor Cable during the screen removal process. Extra caution should be used when repairing the iPhone 5s; the extremely fragile Touch ID sensor cable is attached to the screen assembly and is very easy to rip during disassembly. If you rip this cable, Touch ID function will not work.

And with Christmas right around the corner, this tool would also make a great gift for a technician. Who knows…we might even give away another one of these sweet iPhone repair tools!
